Working to make the NET a better place.
Wasn't it wonderful back in the days where the internet was "safer"? A bunch of people trying to use the network to exchange information and collaborate.
After some time, businesses realized the potential that the NET represented and decided to take advantage of it. Nothing wrong with that, as long as you don't harm good initiatives that are still around. The net is big and there is space for everybody.
I don't know when and how, but someday I realized that a lot of stuff is wrong. 70% of the e-mails on the NET are wither SPAM or viruses. Organized crime takes advantage of vulnerabilities for get money to fund their illegal activities and companies don't do anything to do better products so this would stop. What the hell?!
I work with information security. I do this because I believe that technology should provide a safer, more efficient and better way for us to do things. I am just trying to make things better, you know? And suddenly a stupid automatic script takes advantage of the fact that my blog allows anonymous comments and posts loads of links to malicious code, hoping that my readers would click and get their computers hostage of some botnet.
A message for those bastards who wrote that script: MY READERS KNOW BETTER! Your comments are already deleted and new comments are moderated. Not that I would censor anything... all comments are still welcome and I will approve anything that is not automated. PROMISE!
Don't let this prevent you from commenting. Your feedback is what keeps me moving to post publicly, and moderating is just a tool I have to prevent these ash**** of taking advantage of my blog the same way they do with a lot of other good tools around.
For a better and safer way to communicate.
